Prologue; The beginning of everything
ℐ can't seem to remember the last time I've truly smiled... That was the one thought I had going through my head, as I stood on a tall cliff watching over a world that was as beautiful as anyone could imagine. Dense forests, lush and green plains, coastlines anyone would die to live on, this... this is world, I've heard many call it paradise but... To be honest... This world, is FAR from a being a paradise. For as long as I can remember, this world... These mountains, plains and forest have been stained with the blood from the people who live here... The ones I was given to watch over. Well... I've definitely screwed up on that one, considering... I'm a mere pawn in their games now. As I watched over this world, this small area of a bigger world that was still uninhabited, I couldn't help but think about how small all of them must of felt... Especially with me, and others like me, I watched as people from the earth region known as *Tetrainian (Tetrain-ian); those who control the earth and nature around them. The people casually walk, chat and celebrate in a small festival that was representing the new spring that had just came in, bring many crops and plenty of food for them.
"You're not going to join in?" I hear a soft voice call out to me and spin on my heels to see a girl with dark brown hair, pale skin and jade green eyes, her soft voice really did match her; considering her looks. I give a small sigh and shake my head.
"Not this time Tabitha... I can't just always go out and party" I say, with a solemn and sad tone of voice. I can see a small frown come across her face as she listens to my words.
"Sprite... You really need to stop beating up on yourself... You must realize that we don't blame you for the things that you've done. No one does and no matter how many time you say that you're not good enough me and the others will prove you wrong!" Tabitha says softly but there was a firmness in her voice that could send chills up your spine, since you'd probably not expect it from some a sweet looking girl.
"Tabitha, I thank you for standing by my side ever since but..." I start, trailing off in the end, getting lost in my own thoughts.
"But what?" The girl asks, I look at her. I could faintly see the outline of her tabby cat ears and tail due to barely having any light on me, then again I could barely see the girl in general, the only thing I could really make out what her eyes which were almost glowing. I shake my head a bit, clearing my head of all the thought that were troubling me.
"It's nothing, I'm sorry to worry you Tabitha" I say before turning back to the cliff and sitting down on the edge of it, I could hear the girl sigh as she softly and gently comes over to me and sits down behind me.
"You know... We worry about you Sprite... You seemed so much happier when Draven was around" Tabitha says, taking a piece of my wavy, dark brown hair and starting to braid it a bit. At hearing the name that Tabitha mentioned, I instantly frown, the male that I had fallen for and died because of hatred; directed towards me. I give a heavy sigh, my grey eyes scanning the stoney ground for an answer, to only find none.
"You miss him don't you?" I hear Tabitha ask and I can feel a sad smile tug at my lips. I missed him dearly, even though I still had our son; Achellies, it still didn't make up the warmth that I still desperately search for.
"I do... He should've never died... If only he hadn't met me... He would still be alive" I says looking up at a sky that held thousand, no millions of tiny stars. I hear Tabitha give a little chuckle at my response and I look at her confused. "What's so funny?" I ask, I didn't know I said something so funny.
"It's nothing, it's just I'm so used to you saying, if only this... Or if only that... I guess I was just expecting it" Tabitha says as the younger girl places a small little flower that looked like a cross between a rose and a lily; it had red and purple petals with little white dots decorating the petals. I reach a hand up and feel it's soft petal before softly smiling.
"A starling dew?" I says, normally the flower that was now in my hair was used to treat certain diseases and infections that would run rampant on this world. Tabitha giggles and nods at the surprised expression on my face.
"Mhmm, why are you so surprised? It's not like they're rare on Tetra" Tabitha says as I notice vines wrapped around her right arm, I sigh and shake my head at this.
"You really think you slick at this don't you? How many times have I told you, you need to be careful on using your powers. You're powers are very draining on your mana, and you of all the regions need to be careful on how much you use your powers since you have the least amount of mana" I say, a strict and scolding tone entering my voice and I see her sigh at this before getting up.
"Sprite, I'm not a little kid anymore, I'm almost as old as you. I think it's about time you at least not get too prickly about us using our powers" Tabitha says looking at me with pleading eyes. I shake my head at this, we always have this talk since she tries to be an optimist, when I'm more of a realist."I'm not backing down on my word Tabitha, until you learn when it's the right time to use your powers, I will continue to do this with you" I say and I see Tabitha frown. "Do I make myself clear?" I says, my voice rising up a bit, without even knowing it.
"Yes ma'am..." Tabitha mutters sadly as she turns away from me, she turns to look at me once. Her expression said it all, she was feeling guilty for even disturbing me, which made me feel guilty for raising my voice and getting upset over something as silly as a flower.
"I'm going to go back, I'm sure Edolynn needs me" Tabitha says before disappearing into the shadows. Once the girl was gone I sigh at how cold I sounded to the girl. I turn to look at the sky again, looking at the stars, searching for answers. I wanted to know if I was doing the right thing for my world, for everyone that I cared about.
"*Allonice... *Zephyra... anyone... If you're listening right now... Can you tell me if this is the right path that I'm taking?" I asks to the night sky, I wait for several minutes but no reply comes. I frown and leaning back to lay on the stoney ground, even the guardians were silent... Normally they would've said something with the few minutes.
"Everything is so silent... It's a bit... Unusual" I mutter as I watch a shooting star fly across the sky, I can hear faint cheering and at this I quickly sit up, curious of what the cheering was for. I look around a bit before noticing another region; *Raitoniyans, those who control the weather and electricity. I shake my head at this, I could hardly believe that a 12 year old was leading them and let alone could even be serious.
"What has this world come to?" I mutter watching as the night continue to grow, and the stars shimmering and glittering with a moonless sky. It was still hard to believe that this world even had a moon to begin with since, the moon been missing for centuries.
"Sprite!" I hear a male voice call as I turn to see a young looking male; around his 20's maybe, short shaggy black hair and deep amber-red eyes, 2 large bat wings sprouted out of his back, it was the first for the *d'yavlu's; those who controlled darkness and a tiny bit of death; humans call these demons however and these type of tetrans actually took a liking to this name... Surprisingly.
"Yes, what is it Reheal (*Re-eal)?" I asks, looking at the male, who looked almost out of breath, it made me worry on why the boy was out of breath. He calms his breathing before looking at me with serious and sadden look. This made me worry more, the boy wasn't normally like this; he would normally laughing, pranking people and very laid back.
"Rhea has said she hasn't gotten a bit of a prophecy... though she can't figure it out" Reheal says, which surprised me. Normally it was either Edolynn; the first of the Tetrainians or Tabitha; a representative of Tetra, she represented the nature side of Tetra, the girl was very much like myself. I blink a few time, trying to figure out why Rhea; the first of the Glaciers, of all people got a prophecy, she didn't have the ability to really gain them, then again, none of the first tetrans did. It surprised us when Chael; the first of the *Ingeli, got his first one.
"What does this prophecy say?" I ask, my brows furrowing. If it was bad then I would have to gather the leaders of the elements and the rest of the firsts.
"Let a storm sweep through the paradise, turning it into a battlefield for those who don't belong, and let chaos slip from it's cage to reign havoc over everyone, near and far" Reheal says, repeating the exact words he heard from the woman, he was with not long ago. My expression turns grim at hearing the last part, I had a feeling it meant something that I didn't want to escape, after all... It almost cost my life locking it away.
"Hm... This definitely doesn't sound good..." I mutter as I unconsciously pulled one of my weapons from its holder, running my fingers over it's silver panels, which were serrated. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Reheal look at the weapon I was holding and shakes his head a bit.
"You really love those fans don't you?" He asks light heartedly, a small smile on his face and I nod.
"Of course I do, Chael did such an amazing job making them... I'm still surprised they survived the centuries of fighting... and everything that I've put them through" I say, a small and soft smile dancing across my face and Reheal chuckles.
"Well I should think so, Chael put months into making them just perfect" Reheal says and I nod, remembering Chael shooing me out of his workshop several times so he could give these fans as a gift for my birthday, and boy were they an amazing gift. The ingeli even wanted me to try them out in a little spar and I couldn't believe that they held up even if I was so rough on them.
"So Sprite... What do you think about the prophecy?" I hear Reheal ask, pulling me out of my little flashback. I really couldn't say much about the prophecy, since I couldn't see into the future, since Allonice would have my head on a stick if I did that.
"I'm not sure Reheal... But something about it tells me that... Something that we don't want to get out, will get out and we'll be at the mercy of it" I say and Reheal sighs at this shaking his head a bit. "And don't you dare say that it's obvious, you of all people know how dangerous, she truly is and I'm sure you don't want her getting out anytime soon" I add on, my eyes narrowing dangerously at the d'yavlu.
"Sorry Sprite, I guess I just can't take prophecies seriously" Reheal says with a sheepish grin and I grimace at him, shaking my head at him before walking over to him and giving a hard slap on his head. I hear him yelp in pain as he rubs his head, he looks at me a bit upset that I hit; but he of all people knew I had a good reason to hit him.
"Man you're so hard as always" He says rubbing his head for a bit before stopping to look at me as I walk away from the d'yavlu.
"Ey! Sprite where are you going?!" He shouts confused and surprised that I was just going to leave him there. I turn to look at him and role my eyes at him, that is before smiling a bit.
"Where do you think? I'm going to talk to Alex, I'm sure she'll have some insight that you don't have" I say and Reheal acts hurt in an incredibly dramatic way as he almost falls off the cliff. I let out a little laugh and shake my head at the d'yavlu. "Careful there or you might actually kill yourself there" I say in a joking tone and I hear the d'yavlu chuckle.
"Pfft! As if I'll die to something so uneventful as that" Reheal says, smirking. I could tell he was glad that he got me to laugh, everyone had been trying so hard to get me to laugh and no matter what I do, Reheal always seemed to get me to laugh.
"Alright goofball, you should get going, who knows what the others are going to do if you're gone for too long" I say and Reheal rolls his eyes, using his right hand to mimic me talking. I shake my head at this, some times I wonder how he got any respect from the d'yavlus.
"Blah, blah, blah. Alright Miss Smartypants, I'll go since you are always treating me like I'm 5" Reheal says turning to head off and I give out a sigh, the attitude he gave at times, was so irritating. He does this all the time when ever he got treated like a little kid. She could tell he hated being treated like a kid, but he acted like it so much, how could she not treat him like one. Once he disappears into the shadows of the rocky path that lead down, I turn and look at the sky again.
"Please... Watch over me Allonice" I say to the sky before turning to leave myself, it was time that I finally got around to discussing this prophecy that Rhea had gotten. It was troubling one and it needed to solved. And fast! If we got to it too late, I feared my life as well as Tetra's sake would be in grave danger. A once active and occupied cliff, that was now deserted and cleared of, had a single voice ring out; a woman's voice, saying one thing, to an empty area.

Finally, the prologue for Tetran Legends has come! I'm sure many of you have been hearing me talk and talk about my big plans for this series and they're finally being put use. In this small segment you're introduced to very few characters; our main heroine or one of them, Sprite, and a few other characters such as Tabitha, Reheal and the voice of Allonice. Bios on many of the characters will be coming out soon, as well as a online comic. For the art pages please, watch SoulCats 
. She will be doing the pages for them and has helped with designing many of the characters for this series. I can't thank her enough. Anyways, without further ado, let's get this ball rolling! As Tetran Legends has finally began.
All the stars and their meanings and such are here.
*Tetrainian- Explained in the prologue, it's a subspecies of Tetrans that can control either earth/ground or nature
*Allonice - A character within the series, will show up from time to time. Is hinted at the end of the prologue. Guardian of Time
*Zephyra - Another character that will show up, but later and much rare, Guardian of Dreams
*Raitoniyans - The name is a mixture of Russian and Japanese for Lightning, explained in the prologue, another subspecies of Tetrans that can control the weather and electricity
*d'yavlu - A spin off of the Russian version of devil, explained in prologue. One of the stronger subspecies of Tetrans, can control darkness. The idea of these Tetrans is based of Demons
*Re-eal - The pronunciation of Reheal, the h in his name is silent creating a long e sound.
*Ingeli - A mixture of Finnish and Romanian for Angel, One of the stronger subspecies of Tetrans, can control light. The idea of these Tetrans is based on Angels.
Explanation of Tetrans-
So many of you are probably wondering "What the hell are Tetrans?" Well I'll explain. Tetrans are like a hybrid of cat and human, but they're not your little anime half cat half humans who doing nothing, work in coffee shops and act cute, no, no, no. These guys are quite strong, much stronger than humans, and they also have the ability to possess an element, the elements of Tetra are Light, Dark, Ice, Fire, Weather/Electricity, Earth/Nature and the forgotten element; Water. Each element has it's ups and downs for example; D'yavlu's; Dark are incredibly strong hitters but their endurance is significantly decreased or Tetrainians; Earth/Nature is a supporter class but can't take any hits or their lives in danger. And each tetran subspecies has it's leader and first tetran, the first tetrans or as many of the tetrans call them; the gods, are the strongest of all normal tetrans and have had the most experience in fighting and controlling their powers. The leaders are well what they sound like, they lead their certain subspecies. Now you're probably wondering about Tabitha and why she's different. Well Tabitha as mentioned in the prologue is a representative and appears like most tetrans, with cat ears and tail, but the thing is that she considered the strongest for those who control Nature and there are others who are like her, they'll be brought up later in within the series, no fun to spoil it all now. And now I'm sure you're all thinking well all tetrans are cat-human hybrids right? Wrong! Sprite is actually tetran too but she appears human, you see Sprite is just like Tabitha but even stronger and considered the strongest tetran since she actually represents the whole world, so if she were to die the whole world would disappear and vice versa. Now my kiddies, tetrans are pretty easy to make and there can be plenty of them, there is no naming rule on this and you can build as crazy looking a character you want but one thing I must say is that, if you're going to create a D'yavlu or Ingeli, your character must have died at some point, there are only one full born of each and there will be no more full borns of those. Alright, lecture over~!
